My son loves Leonardo and his friends! Making friends and being accepted, is one of those things that many kids struggle with. Such a great book with a positive message. My little one is looking forward to more adventures with Leonardo and his crew. His favorite character is little Leonardo….I think mine is Ellie!

I bought the book for my nephews (6yrs) thinking they were too young to grasp the message of the story but to my surprise they were immersed in it and drawn to the characters. We had an afterwards discussion about it and they not only understood the message but started brainstorming on how to deal with similar situations in their future.

What an awesome story. I love the rhyme factor, it keeps my children entertained but also keeps me the reader engaged in the story. The watercolor illustrations are beautifully done. The theme of family and friendship is strong and an important foundation for children. My favorite part is that although Leonardo was teased and ignored, he still chose to help out the elephant who was responsible for the name-calling. It teaches our kids a lesson on integrity. Side note, aside from strong moral lessons, this book is a HOOT! Love the little jokes and comedic scenes. Highly recommended for all children starting school, in school, and at home. My daughter is 7 and she loved it!
